Guide for Fluence Stakers
The Fluence Delegation Pool on Parasail is designed to simplify staking for the broader community, offering an accessible entry point for users to participate in the Fluence network. Instead of directly managing hardware or understanding the complexities of staking with individual providers, users can now delegate their FLT tokens to the Parasail pool. This delegation model not only reduces the technical barrier to entry but also distributes risks and optimizes returns through automated restaking and management.
📄️ Background on Fluence
Fluence is a decentralized serverless platform and computing marketplace powered by blockchain technology. It offers a global, permissionless, scalable, and secure alternative to centralized cloud computing services. At the core of Fluence is the $FLT token, which serves as both a collateral mechanism and a financial incentive for service providers. These providers earn $FLT and often stablecoins as compensation for serving applications on the network.
📄️ pFLT: Parasail Fluence Liquid Token
$pFLT is a liquid token representation of staked $FLT within the Parasail ecosystem. By staking their $FLT with Parasail, an equivalent amount of $pFLT is minted. These $pFLT tokens allow holders to participate in rebases, receive rewards, and incur slashing. Users can also receive $wpFLT which is a wrapped version of $pFLT that can be freely traded, transferred, or utilized within the DeFi ecosystem.
📄️ Staking FLT
Staking in Fluence through Parasail allows users to improve liquidity, mitigate risks, and simplify the staking process within the Fluence ecosystem. Users receive $pFLT, a liquid staking token that can be utilized in various DeFi applications or swapped on decentralized exchanges (DEXs). Using Parasail eliminates the concern of idiosyncratic risks tied to specific providers, and it also ensures that $FLT is automatically restaked whenever a capacity commitment concludes. Some key features and benefits include:
📄️ Withdrawing Staked FLT
Withdrawing staked $FLT requires users to initiate an unstaking request through the Parasail platform. Depending on the liquid $FLT in the delegation pool, there may be a waiting period before $FLT can be withdrawn.
